Yes BeltLine transit will get used, because it will provide first/last mile connection to many areas that do not have rail access; Virginia-Highland, O4W, Ansley Park, etc. Not everyone can walk/bike the BeltLine, but remember the project was originally about a transportation corridor, not a recreation corridor. Lots of bike commuters use it for transportation, but add LRT and we will see many riders flock from surrounding neighborhoods.

Grade separated ROW is a huge feature of the Beltline and this would be a significant enhancement. This intersection is already dangerous and congested. Throw a streetcar in with increased ped activity and this will be chaos.
At grade crossings work on other LRT systems and will save millions of dollars for the BeltLine. It would also push back the SB stop bar and prevent cars from blocking the crosswalk or illegally turning right on red.

Why do roads need sales tax money on top of TAD money on top of CID money, rental car taxes, hotel taxes, gas taxes, federal general fund money, state general fund money, city general fund money, and tolls?

Even though the connection to Lindbergh Center isnt in the first phase of the Beltline expansion I hope they include it to the May 31 proposal. It would be good if the Beltline /Streetcar can connect to Lindbergh, North Ave, Bankhead and King Memorial MARTA station on the initial launch

ABI does not own the rail corridor north of Montgomery Ferry Dr.

Don't get me wrong. I can't wait for transit on the Beltline...I'm just curious if you guys think it will get used often.
Yes; even if we had the funding today instead of in November, it would still take well over a year just for construction to begin, so by the time it's in service an amazing amount of development will have been completed. Think of all the people who live in Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown, East Atlanta, Grant Park, Glenwood Park, lots of other neighborhoods who don't live within walking distance of Piedmont Park or Ponce City Market, but would love to get there without driving. I will be using it all the time, if it's completed while I'm still alive.

With the potential vote in November, it could be.

I wonder how much the monthly MARTA pass will increase once they include light rail?
