The bus loop is heavily used, just add a new stairwell and elevator that extends eastward.

Why would it be less costly to demolish and add an addition than just add an addition?

Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station southside was designed like that because it was planned as a station for a proposed busway along proposed extension of I-675. That is why the station entrance and bus loop is so far west of the station.

I could see that working pretty well.

If you're talking about adding an full entrance to the east end of the platforms (complete with ped bridge/elevators/stairs), that's not gonna be cheap especially when you would have to bridge the CSX tracks to access the Reynoldstown side.

A lot cheaper than building a whole new infill station or most any other projects being considered. In fact they could probably fund it with a TOD if they play their cards right.

Part of that Optional TOD is a Georgia Power primary substation. It is not going anywhere.
Just build off the existing ped bridge over the tracks and go east. Build sidewalk on the northside of Seaboard Ave and install a ped crossing. Eventually those apartments will be torn down, more affordable housing lost, and then MARTA/CoA could leverage the builder to fund this project via impact fees.

A lot of subway systems have multiple exits that can put you several blocks away from each other. Each exit makes it easier to get to a particular place. Paris has a nearly half mile pedestrian tunnel connecting their long distance commuter rail with their inner city system just south of the Seine.

So you can make places much more convenient with the exits on existing stations. The Inman Park station is really too close to Edgewood station to justify a stop in between.

Exactly. Peachtree Center is a good examples of this. Entrances blocks apart that serve different areas. Inman Park station is in a great position to do this to add access to ERD and Little 5 points.

Wouldn't a rider just exit to the north and walk thru the park and Euclid to access L5P? That's how I have always done it.
