Ludacris threw a party that was a ton of fun...he was big on having porn on the projector screens though.

I saw Bill Goldberg (wrestler) in the airport a few years ago. My family went right up to him and surprisingly enough, he was the friendliest guy you could hope to meet. He saw my Star of David necklace and wished me "Shabbat Shalom!". What a friendly guy.

Funny!
Okay, first of all, BobKovacs, I laughed so hard at your post I choked on my own saliva!!!
The few listings of celeb sightings in each post made me giggle because, growing up near and then living right in Los Angeles - esp. near Hollywood, I would have the longest post ever if I made a list of all the famous people I have seen out there. I actually kept a list for a while when I was attending UCLA. I easily had over 50 people on the list. I think a lot of stars visit places like Atlanta and Miami... but they all seem to live (full or part-time atleast) in Los Angeles. I mean, I attended church with Denzel Washington, Lela Rochon, Angela Bassett/Courtney, and Magic Johnson/Cookie on a regular weekly basis. And the funny thing is, they came to watch me (well, not exactly - but I was in the choir and sat behind the pastor - so that's what I told myself ).
It's better that Atlanta is more low key. Try "keeping up with the Joneses" when you live in Hollywood. That's a big part of the problem out there: plastic buildings, plastic personalities, plastic bodies.

There are actual a ton of celebs who have homes or condos here in Atlanta. One of the reasons they like it so well is that we don't have the paparazzi element here that they have in NYC and LA. The celebs can actually go out into public here and do whatever they want to do, and with the exception of a few fans maybe asking for autographs, they're realtively left alone. At least, no swarm of 50 photogs hovering around their car, etc.
Of course, we're not a dense walkable city like NYC, and there aren't any huge street-shopping districts like in L.A. here either, so you're also less likely to see a celeb WALKING anywhere in Atlanta.

Maybe when The Streets of Buckhead opens we'll see more celebrities shopping in Atlanta's version of Rodeo Drive.

I used to attend West Angeles and I lived in Ladera Heights when I 1st moved to LA in 1992 ( I Remember seeing Stevie Wonder, Tevin Campbell, Magic Johnson & Cookie there on the regular) but shortly thereafter started attending 1st AME Church of God & Christ when Pastor "Chip" Cecil L. Murray was presiding. I miss my church home and haven't been able to find one quite like it here in Atlanta. There were TONS of celebs at 1st AME as well. Atlanta definately is a more low key celeb scene were the starts can really be themselves and they feel that they can go out more in public without the hassle of LA.

I saw author T.D. Faison in the West End at Krispy Kreme a few weeks ago. He was doing some shopping and he was with this pretty girl. They looked really good together. I approached him and he signed an autograph for me and was really nice. Damn she was lucky she came out of the store b4 I had a chance to snatch him.
