Obviously, none of those types of statements are true.

Take the one that goes something like this:

"Young people who are republicans have no heart, old people who are democrats have no brains."

False.

They're just slogans. Sometimes they're funny.

OK, that's cool. Maybe you should have added the sarcasm emoticon so people would know your intention. There are people who believe stuff like that! Thanks for the clarification!

I think that this is huge difference between social liberal and conservatives. Liberals think that the government is the most efficient/effective mechanism for helping the poor while conservatives think that this is better left for the private/non-profit (i.e. charities) sector
No, that's not accurate at all. Liberals acknowledge that charities alone can't do all of it and that conservative policies actually work against middle and lower class Americans. There is a class war being waged by conservatives against the middle and lower classes. And ironically enough, as soon as a liberal mentions economic issues, conservatives scream that liberals want a class war.

People need to turn off idiots like Boortz and actually do their homework about polices.

Baloney. The class war being waged is by liberals, who have always used class and income as a wedge to split the electorate. Ever since the robber barons of the 19th century and the Russian Revolution in 1917, socialists have been all about freeing the "Bourgeoisie" from the "Proletariat". That was the essential point of Marx's manifesto.

Today, the liberals and semi-socialists in America are driving that same point but in other and more subtle ways. They believe that "rich" people don't deserve the money they earn, and that it's all been done on the backs of poor people who really deserve that money. Redistribution of wealth is the common theme, and the implication is that if you're poor and uneducated, it's the fault of someone else and you are just a victim.

That's not the picture I posted. One of the mods must've gone behind my back and changed it.

Folks.....this thread is becoming a bit of a merry-go-round of beating a dead horse. Naturally threads of this nature always erupt into a political battle, and there is no sense in it. I don't think I've seen "Atlanta" or "Georgia" mentioned at all on this page!

Can this at least be moved to the political forum so that we can keep the Atlanta/Georgia forum about helping people to move?

If not, then I'd just like to say it's very sad when someone moves to a new area, and holds onto the same political standing that probably ran their previous home into the ground, regardless of what party it was.

Baloney indeed. First, I don't know where you live, but we are not in Russia and if you had any knowledge of America and American policies created by the right wing of this country then you would understand what's going and how they are killing the middle class.

Me next! Me next!
Here....
We all know that rebublicrats have been keeping the poor rich man down for years. If you disagree, you're an anti-undocumented-rightwing liberservative. And thats a fact. They have been taking from the lower-upper class and giving to the upper-lower class by using scare tactics on the middle class. And dont try to change my mind facts and stuff.

Playing grown-up and regurgitating regurgitated crap is fun.
Lets do it again sometime

Is that like being repetitively redundant again and again?

A conversation that already had "a lot" going for it in the first place.
