So, your citation is really useless to determine use of the new lanes.

ARC has some bike counts on for the Peachtree Center Ave Cycle Track after it was open for a few months.

So, ah, has anyone told MARTA? They're supposed to be putting bus lanes on Juniper at some point, and are also working with the feds for that.

Otherwise it looks great!

Exciting. Are there any plans to continue it south of Ponce?

It always leaves a great impression when I travel to other cities and they have turned major thoroughfares into complete streets. This will be a great upgrade to our city

I know it's been like 18 months since this discussion, but I was looking around at this map since this thread popped up again. I'm really wondering how much one person's actions effects the apparent popularity of a certain route.

Exhibit A:

This is near my house. There appears to be some very heavy cycling going on. A really popular route for commuters! Except that blue line is crossing a 4-lane divided arterial road, not at an intersection or crosswalk, then cutting through a rough business parking lot, and finally riding on a very narrow one-way road. I highly doubt that's a truly popular route, especially considering that I've lived walking distance from this spot for over 12 years and could probably count the number of cyclists I've seen in that time around there on my hands.

Shows planners where connections are needed. Can easily be solve by creating a multiuse connection at the signalized intersection https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8169...!3m1!1e3?hl=en.

Even if there's only one cyclist or a handful of them we still have to protect them.

Well, that whole area is changing to become Westside Village at Moore's Mill. It will include a connection across at Coronet, but it will be into the shopping center, and will not change how this particular route happened.

But, to your point...there is a sidewalk down to Coronet from the point where the person crossed, and a signal with crosswalk at the intersection. What needs to be changed about it?

Sorry...I don't buy that one person's actions should change how an area needs to conform. Especially when that person is not going to the signalized crosswalk 400' down the road. If so, then the fact that I (and most others) drive 55MPH down Marietta Blvd. would suggest that the speed limit should be raised to that, no? But still...to my point, how accurate is the map to truly judge how used a certain corridor is?

There is a connection from Coronet@Marietta Blvd to Queen St? Bikes cannot ride on sidewalk, I am suggesting creating a bike/ped connection from the signalized intersection to Queen St
