Don't you think we've moved beyond that, bryant? I sure don't assume that the Millennials are all straight, white, male and cis.

More than likely they are just as big a melting pot as any other generation.

no, i don't think we have, and i'm not accusing you of anything. the reason this happens is because people of that demographic compose the majority of the media that controls what the current narrative is: politicians, tv and screenwriters, journalists, etc. even 'liberal' news sources are guilty of this: look at how white MSNBC is.

when most of the people writing stories are of that demographic, you're just naturally going to have a huge majority of media from the point of view of that demographic, who write about people who are like them.

it isn't some kind of conspiracy, but it is a self-fulfilling cycle. minorities and groups outside of the white/cis/male demographic don't get talked about in the public discourse and their issues get ignored, which leads to less political and economic power for them. this ensures that minorities have a lot harder time making it into politics and the media.

i'm not blaming anyone or saying anyone's a racist. i'm saying that we're only hearing from one side of the story here, and there's a lot of issues that just get ignored by the media.

Can't rep you, but you're absolutely right.

I hear what you are saying but I will have to say: when I think of the Millennials demographic, I don't think of just straight, white males.

Maybe it is because of the way our family is composed and what I personally see and experience.
