Nonetheless, it's the white population that's declining. Other groups are still having kids at a replacement level; hence, more kids in the U.S. today are non-white rather than in prior generations.

Again, if the Millennials aren't having kids by the time they're in their late 30s, the odds are unlikely that they will be having them. Thus, schools may be closing or consolidating in another 15-20 years.

They could always adopt and trust me the Eastside schools will not be closing, there is a baby bubble brewing.

And based on what I've seen of the YOLO millenials, eager to spend all that disposable income on high rents, fancy dinners, and travel, they aren't exactly filling up 401(k) accounts or Roth IRAs.

I wasn't aware that contributing to a 401(k) put you on a high horse. If that's the case, we're in big trouble.

I've contributed to a retirement fund since barely making above minimum wage. I've led a more meager existence than I could have if I spent everything I made.

That's just common sense, not being on a high horse.

We should keep on pumping out kids or the pyramid scheme our entire society is based on will crumble? I get that that scares people. But having kids out of fear is a terrible idea.

If you don't have kids, you can spend money on all that stuff and have money left to put into retirement accounts. I'm not a millennial and I'm not a renter, but I know this from first hand experience.
