Hey they're not that bad you know. My grandparents still have one. Taking it up to Nashville tomorrow. Around the same time my mom bought a Chrysler T&C. That didn't last 4 years...

Most can't even afford those cities. Unless I got an amazing job I wouldn't choose any of those cities. Maybe Portland.

Then find a way to move to a city that has everything you're looking for.

That sounds exclusionary.

Bear in mind this is a conference of real estate developers, which is probably going to be heavy on the attributes you mention. However, anybody can take advantage of their products.

i was thinking about how we define generations, and it seems to me that we ought to define generations by when people came of age, not when they were born. for example, anyone who was in their teens before 9/11 would have a radically different perspective on society than someone who became a teenager after.

Someone who is 25 was born in 1990. That solidly in the middle of the that Millennial group. Definitely, not Generation X.

Yes. The last GenX cohort graduated high school in 1996.

Exactly,

I am in the "older millennial" group and I was in pre-school-elementary school when most of the Gen X 90s cool-stuff-that all-the-big-cool-kids-and-adults-were-doing-was going on. I don't think people realize how long ago the 90s was and how old Gen X folks are now.

Yes. All true.

I am younger GenX.

Primary (older) GenX graduated high school 1983-1990 (born 1965-1972).

Mid-to-younger GenX graduated high school 1991-1996 (born 1973-1978).

Not sure Buckhead is the best place to hold a panel discussion on Millenials and expect to get a genuine response. Hold it on the Eastside, at PCM or somewhere that is not dominated by older generations and then maybe I'll be more likely to believe opinions.
