Trap music is just music if just fun rap. It's not meant to have meaning or be thought provoken. It's about having fun. It's just a different genre of music inside the rap Catergory.

Caucasians are the biggest consumers of rap/trap music these days.

Music forms are an art form. While they are originally tied to a specific culture, popular art forms will almost always be adopted by other groups if they become successful or widely recognized enough.

That can result in dilution, obviously, but that's the way the arts are. Don't want it to happen? Stop creating good art forms.

Here's something related to both trap and Atlanta. The Migos just scored their first #1 song with Bad and Boujee. And Donald Glover, creator of the Golden Globe-winning Atlanta, said they're the Beatles of our generation. http://www.spin.com/2017/01/donald-g...golden-globes/

That's how I know I'm getting old, because I can not see what these kids like about them. One of them sounds like a fake cover of Gucci and the other ones are just halfway decent. I keep hearing from these youngins that they actually spit some real stuff but I just can't see it. Either way I'm happy to see them young brothers doing their thing and also happy to see them give a voice to the Northside.

It's one of their better songs, but to say the Beatles. That's a stretch their Gambino.
