I thinks this because developers need a way to market the broader area, Downtown and Midtown are not one neighborhood, but rather a collection of neighborhoods.

The Westside was never urban, now that it's developing, developers need a way to group the broader area.

So Blandtown, Home Park, Berkeley park, Underwood Hills, Bolton, Whittier Mill Village etc names are not forsake. But much like Centennial Hill, Fairlie-Poplar are neighborhoods with in Downtown.

In a press release, developer Third & Urban announced Monday that more than half — 62,000 square feet — of COMPLEX has already been claimed as the project preps to break ground this month.

Half of that space (31,000 square feet) will be occupied by upscale catering company Proof of the Pudding, which inked a 10-year lease.

Officials hope to finish the $16-million redevelopment by May next year, with 20 different spaces — a mix of warehouse, office, and retail uses — carved from 105,000 total square feet.
