Can't pick and choose sins unless you have lived a perfect life

Oh, you can't think of things like this in terms of sin or religion.

It's just a matter of self-control. There are folks get that craving early in the morning and for some it's an itch they've got to scratch.

It's no different than saying people shouldn't be able to eat fried chicken b4 11am because it isn't healthy

Why does church matter to me? I don't go to church. I don't practice any religion. What church people think is 100% irrelevant to me. If I'm going to lunch at 11:30 and want to have a beer with it, there's no reason that people who decided to believe in religion and go to church should be able to say no.

There are often times where I get off work at 7 or 8 am after a long night of filming. Why shouldn't the guys be able to go have an after-work beer like people who get off at 5pm to? What's the difference? Hint: there is none. Church is not part of the equation.

Well, that's alcoholism, and a completely different discussion.

In other threads, you didn't like it when others judged you for your suburban lifestyle that has no effect on them. So why is it now okay for you to judge other people for their choices that don't effect you?

Er, yes, it's totally different.

Nobody (at least not me) is saying people shouldn't be able eat fried chicken or drink liquor in the morning. They can have it if they want to.

You know, if you don't want to buy alcohol before church, that's great.
I see little use for Sunday morning alcohol buying power myself.
But to use the church to keep other people from participating in a completely reasonable activity is ludicrous.

Uh, no. It's about arbitrarily having to plan your life around asinine rules that make no sense.

Also, you really ought to consider that many people don't work 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.
For some people, the morning IS their evening.

Heck, I remember one time my family asked if they could have my stew that I make. It requires the meat to cook in wine all day. I went to the store and got all the ingredients. Then I realized I had to go back to the store 2 hours later to buy the wine (not to mention it pushed dinner back). I mean, it's so dumb and seriously serves no purpose.

It's a matter of respect. Maybe some day the tradition of going to church on Sunday morning will vanish. However, at this point in our civilization it's still a little two hour time slot that tens of millions of people observe once a week.

You certainly have the right to drink liquor on Sunday morning -- if you have to have it, knock yourself out.

You (and several other folks here) seem to be confusing rules with self-control and respect.

If it's important to you to have a drink of liquor on Sunday morning, go for it.
