The Southeast old school 90's and 80's Hip hop "especially Georgia, Florida" was Bass music.which is fast fast,

it was so fast the most popular ways to dance to it was stepin "remember black colleages" pop locking and "twerting", women can't twerk to a 90's New York rap song or LA, it was too slow, So the way women dance in New York clubs were completely diff rent from the southeast Atlanta, Miami and New Orleans.

Atl black collages steppin to Bass music.

Twerting in the US is influence by the West Indian especially Miami, And Miami is origin of bass music which influence Atlanta and New Orleans.

Jamican Dancehall music

In the West indies it calling wining

believe in or not the West Indies is influence by central and west Africa dances, some of traditional dances involve twerking and whine like movement. Soukous, African Rumba,

Anyways when people came to the southeast they heard, this really hype music and dances that seem alien at the time. Again Florida has that west Indian influence and beaches and etc. While Georgia, Alabama and Carolina had all these black collages.

^ Good grief; that couldn't have been more off-topic if you had mentioned Suntrust Park.

"Good grief" next time read the post

Maybe because "suntrust park" would been off topic. Nothing about my post was off, you clearly didn't read that post.

This thread about 2 strip clubs closing in Sandy Springs... my post was about how Atlanta strip club culture came to be and why it's known. Why people come to Atlanta strip clubs. That's completely on topic. The music, the dancing, the history set Atlanta and southeast apart from other regions. Is Sandy Spring not apart of the Atlanta area?

In strip clubs dancers "twerk"

The "twerk" is a southeast term, the dance started the south east. The movements of the dance is influence by Dancehall West Indian dances. Miami has strong West Indian influence Atlanta and Miami was strongly connect in the underground bass music during the 90s and 80s.

So Cities like Atlanta and Miami strip club culture and general club culture became famous. That why ice cube set his player club film in Atlanta.
