Wrightsboro Rd. interchange set to get makeover

Cassell says the project, that should start this fall and take about four months to complete, will give them 10 to 15 years before they may need to come up with a long term project, and at a $2 million price tag that's already funded through SPLOST IV, engineers say it's a good deal for taxpayers.

"That's a good price for a project. It includes several signal upgrades, we're going to upgrade everything, build some street scapes, dress the place up, so I'm excited about it," Cassell said.

Owner says National Hills IHOP to close when lease expires | The Augusta Chronicle

The Augusta National or groups affliated with them now own acres of land off Berckman, Big Tree shopping center, the Greens on Washington apartment complex, etc... Next year and going into the year 2014 expect to see alot of changes... I think the apartment complex might become housing again, but not sure geared towards who(masters guest or Augusta residents)....

TIRE CENTER TO OPEN

Construction is underway to dig dirt and prepare a concrete foundation for a new tire center set to open at the corner of Washington Road and Old Evans Road—at the site of the former Toyota of Augusta Used Car Lot (Scott Clark). The pricey property has been vacant for years and sits across from Stanton Optical at Old Evans and big boxstores across Washington Road at the Bobby Jones Expressway.
