We ate at Inka Chicken on Wells Branch today. Wow! I don't know what I was expecting, but it's my new favorite lunch spot.

Tried El Sapo on Manor. They have some service and preparation kinks to work out (the burger could have been juicier), but it has the potential to be a pretty decent gourmet burger place.

I beat that rush, but by the time I got my order, nearly every seat was taken. Got the cheeseburger combo...tried to get the XL drink, but cashier rang a large and that's what I got...no problem with that.

Now the food...
The burger could have come from any of a dozen fast-food places. Bun was caramelized, had a little texture; but is a typical FF burger bun. Lettuce was fresh enough...tomato was nearly translucent and flavorless(it IS winter after all). I could NOT tell the difference between the 'sauce' and the melted cheese...neither had any flavor to speak of. Good thing they wrap the little deli wrap around half of the burger...that sauce was dripping like crazy, very watery. As I said, this could have been a burger(with lettuce and tomato) from darned near any burger joint...nothing special.

Now, those fries that no one likes...I'm in full agreement They taste like powdered cardboard shaped like a fry...absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I tried a few on their own, then a few as a vehicle to get the ketchup and salt to my mouth...then I left half of them. I can't imagine ordering those fries as anything but filler...should have gone for the extra burger patty instead. Iced tea was meh, certainly no McDonalds in that regard.

Won't go back unless someone just wants to check it off their list...as I have done!
My experience to a "T" ... except perhaps the profanity I used to describe it ...

Went to Azul Tequila for the first time in quite a while - it was our anniversary and we wanted something good and familiar. We were a bit concerned when we went in and noticed they'd remodeled the place a bit, and the menu was not exactly as we remembered it. But they had cabrito, which I couldn't resist, and it turned out to be just as delicious as everything else I've ever had there. I think this is the second or third time I've been able to resist the enchiladas de pipian, which I usually order. My husband branched out, as well, and after his first bite, said, "You HAVE to taste this - take a big bite!" It was equally delicious.

Thankyou, THL, for mentioning Azul Tequilla! We have never been there, although it is fairly close to us. We will try it within the week!

I went to Haymaker for lunch last week for the first time. Had a nice burger with homemade beer cheese (never had that before, it was good) and thick, perfectly cooked pepper bacon. It came with a side of house made chips.

I thought it was good and would return if I'm in the area. Probably not a destination but I liked it.
