It actually tasted similar to Fosters brewed by Molson in Canada.
I like Aussie Fosters better than VB,
and I already like VB better than anything from Emu.
I would put Swan on par with VB.
Once I had a VB right after a XXXX Gold and I still liked VB better.
XXXX Gold (mid-strength or 3.5% alc.) "might" be better than Emu... barely?
I hope they still sell XXXX Bitter, which is supposed to be a darker, stronger beer. I want to try it.
Carlton is my most favourite name-brand brewer,
though I would put Fosters ahead of Carlton Dry because Fosters has more flavour.
Carlton Draught and Carlton Black are the best from Carlton imho.
I still don't understand this "...eeeww Fosters..." and "...eeewww VB..." I hear frequently on City-Data.
Sorry CC: what is carlton black? and XXXX : best that stays north of the border.
Which state are you in?
Not selling Carlton Black would be a good reason not to live there.
I never see Carlton Black on tap, but it is in most bottleshops in WA.
The only thing north of our border is Indonesia. South is penguins.
That's when Foster's actually had some popularity.
It had popularity in Australia?
