No big deal most vehicles on the road today can still get that fast if you remove the govenor programmed in the computer. My '08 Ford has been up to 140 with plenty of pedal left.
What "vette" motor....

I am going to call BS on this story. Most people that call it a "vette" motor and not a L98, lt1, ls1, ls6, ls2, ls3 are bull****ting especially in if its a blazer of any year especially one of your year going 155.

What size tire and rear end gear were you running?

According to the speedos...

128 in my '86 Saab 900 SPG
145 in my '00 Jetta VR6 (electronic governor deleted, modified)
170 in my '00 S2000 (electronic governor deleted, modified). Got it up to around 160 with the top down, was quite unpleasant.
somewhere around 190 in a Porsche GT3 cup; not totally sure, was somewhat afraid for my life...

Not to mention if you happen to catch a dip in the road, gust of wind etc. and "kite"
Just a note most cars on the road nowadays are electronically limited to I think 98, 108, 118 mph... Manufacturers limit the care based on the speed rating of the tire that comes with the car. Then z rated and other high end cars are related to faster speeds.

Right on dad.

PS, any speed above 5mph can be deadly.

Werd. It's not like I wasn't aware that I could remove myself from this mortal coil instantly were something to go wrong at those speeds.

Hit the limiter in my Galant. It was between 110 and 115mph. Did it on Route 30 outside of Myrtle Beach.
