Hotlinking them isn't violating copyright laws. It's been gone over on website forums ad nauseum, and WHY forums have the hotlinking tags built in. Copying them from another site, hosting them yourself as your own picture, THEN posting them IS violating copyright laws. Hotlinking them, however, is not. it's no different than the links you leave in their place: links to the pictures.
This should not have to be explained anymore, considering how long the internet has been around now.

^^ From the TOS that we agreed to when we signed up:
Avoid hot-linking to images on other servers if you are not sure that the server's owner allows it. After you post your message, you lose all control over how a hot-linked image looks, and old threads get a lot of views on this forum.
Copyrighted Material - Instead of copying-and-pasting articles, photos, or other material you find on the Internet, you should be posting links to those articles. Posting a snippet from the article and then the link is the appropriate way to post.

Come down to Arizona and I'll hook you up. He bought a 1958 'Vette Fuelie in 2007 AT Barrett Jackson, I think he's probably put a total of 2000 miles on it in 4 years. Absolutely beautiful car even though I like the C2's a bit more. My parents snowbird to Arizona so it's stored away for a good 6-7 months of the year.
I've always been tempted to take it for a spin but I think he writes down the number on the odometer every time he parks it.
