If you could have ANY three cars what would they be?
Mine are:
1. 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom
2. 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia
3. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS
I have three cars...are they what I would choose? Sort of...
Here's what I want:
1. Rough and ready mid-sized SUV that can get me through the dirt, the snow, and just keeps going. Actually, my old Explorer has been very serviceable for that. And nowadays it's hard to find something that same size (as the 2002)...things are either a lot bigger or a lot smaller in cargo room. And since it gets banged up, crapped on, shedded on, etc, there is no point in it being a nicer SUV like a Range Rover. Recently drove Tahoe and Escalade...too big. Drove the new Explorer...it's an oversized car. If they weren't such crappy reliability and you could buy them new, a Defender would be super cool.
2. Fast performance convertible. Actually, I couldn't find anything I really liked, so I got the Corvette GS LT4 (convertible) and just loaded it with every conceivable option. 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds and I have a great time at a value (ish) price. Until something really compelling hits the market, that will do it for me. I don't want some garage queen or something that can't handle being driven every day.
3. I honestly only really need 2 cars. I just happen to have a 3rd. Not worth the money to get rid of it. If we're going super fantasy, then I would like to be driven to work in a limo or some such so that I can read the paper or check internet on the way there and have a margarita and watch tv on the way back. That would be so freakin' awesome. I have a long commute.
Actually, instead of the Mercedes, I would rather have a Cadillac Escalade ESV, but I would have to modify it to a two-door, which would be bothersome. But I suppose if I could afford *any* car I wanted, I could afford the modification.
