If I did around here I would get rear ended. (Southwest)

Assuming road conditions, visibility and traffic allows, I usually go about 7-9 over on cruise control. I've driven quite a bit and I find that's a decent compromise between getting there, keeping with the flow of traffic and not attracting police attention.

Nope, I usually go 80 mph. The speed limit is 65 mph. I at 80 mph because I know that 85 mph on the highway is a super speeder ticket. 75 mph on local roads is a super speeder.

He knew exactly how fast you were going. State cops have had differential speed radar systems for over 40 years that read the ground speed of oncoming traffic. He just decided to be nice, since a ticket for your actual speed would have required a physical appearance in court. He wrote it so you could mail the bail in.

I observe the speed limits, and sometimes I obey them.

Yup at the time I was driving a Saab Viggen (very very very fast car) and it was smooth as silk at ridiculously high speeds. Dropping from 75 to 65 at the state line wasn't easy, my bad, and the trooper was sitting not two miles north of the state line. I pulled over right away, and grovelled as one is supposed to do, and he let me go with a warning.

Speed limit here is 110 and I usually do 120 if the road surface is dry.
I also feel safer doing high speeds in my low profile Altima than in the Tundra truck. The latter gets pushed around a lot when it's windy.

I like the way you think.

I'm a fast driver and on the highway. Around me, the highway speed limits are 55 mph. Conditions permitting, I go 80-85 on thise roads. If it's a really good road under optimal cinditions, I'll go 85-90 mph.

I've gotten a few tickets but nowhere near as many as I deserve. As long as it's not often enough that I lose my license, getting tickets doesn't really bother me. My last one is coming up on 6 months ago -- 79 in a 55 mph zone. No sweat.

I keep it below the speed at which I'll be ked off in 'cuffs rather than handed a piece of paper and sent on my way.

Lol, I'd just like to get where I'm going without dealing with those who are at 55 mph and playing Doodle Jump or Candy Crush.
