We were always a Mercedes family, but we all know what happened to Mercedes reliability and build quality since the 1990's.
Thanks! How exciting- I hope you enjoy your new Lexus on Friday! Yes, I love my car and after I purchased it, about a month later, it came out as car of the year! Not that means too much, but my husband was still impressed with me

Yes, we were a Mercedes family as well (my parents that is) But my dad got rid of his as well, saying the quality was no longer there. Now they are back to Toyota again, my mom has a Land Cruiser, which I would never drive such a gas guzzling monster, but at least the Toyota quality is there!

Have fun this weekend- they are a joy to drive!

Worst vehicle ever owned...a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE. Cheaply built, unsafe, unreliable.

Worst: 1993 Plymouth Sundance...purchased new, water would constantly enter the car on the drivers side, when it rained...

Best: 1995 Toyota Camry LE...car had class, style and a great ride, I am sorry I traded up to the 98' version...

Currently I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS...It's just as good, in some aspects (roomier, gas mileage, price) better than the Camry...I love this car!

Worst - 2001 Ford F150 - there was a problem with it overheating, and the dealership couldn't, or wouldn't, get it corrected. They ended up buying it back under the lemon law.

best - 1991 Ford Escort GT - great little car. got good mileage, was comfortable and a heck of a lot of fun to drive. If I hadn't run the thing into a tree and bent the frame, I would have driven it until the wheels fell off. My sister had a '92 and finally traded it in with 175,000 on it and it was still running strong.

2006 Hyundai SonataV6, smooth as silk, quiet cabin, roomy.

Best: 2002 Ford Expedition. Just traded it in a few months ago because I was finally ready to upgrade. Never had a single problem with it.

Worst: 1998 Mercury Mountaineer. The worst thing that I've ever owned. It was constantly breaking. Finally gave up after three years and bought the wife a Toyota 4 runner, which we just traded in a year and a half ago (it never had any problems).

currently own a 2008 Tahoe and a 2007 Ford Explorer. Both seem pretty good so far, but they are both still new, so we shall see, I guess.

Worst: 1987 Dodge Daytona - nothing but problems got rid of it after 2 1/2 years.

Best: 1990 Nissan Kingcab SE-V6 2wd. Had it for 15 years and it never let me down. Kinda wish I had never gotten rid of it.

Hate to say it, but...

Best: 1990 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible V6. I loved that car.

Worst: 1980 Chevrolet Chevette. This car was SO bad that every 7,500 miles, it had a yellow flag come down over the odometer that read, "Service Engine." The first time it happened, I freaked out and drove it in. The service guy told me point blank, "Well, they installed those so that we could check the engines on these things every few thousand miles." I cannot begin to count the things that happened to it. I managed to nurse that thing along for 5 rotten years.

Best: Current vehicle: 1995 Geo Tracker LSI Limited, 161K, still gets over 30 mpg, doesn't use oil, runs like a champ, goes great in snow, and is too much fun to drive!

Worst: Wow, gotta be my 1976 Plymouth Arrow GT. At 50K, it needed a quart of oil every other day. Or maybe that horrid little Mercury I had, it was the one that was the twin to the Escort. That thing sucked!
