'83 Mustang GT hands down the poorest assembled piece of **** that I have ever owned. In 67,000 miles of torture the car had:
1. less then 2,000 mile on car, frozen valve(warranty)
2. leaks around front windshield
3. bad heater core, scalding hot water in summer on my feet
4. leaking carb
5. bolts that fell/rattled off
6. TOTAL rack & pinion failure failure on the interstate(ie., no steering)
Traded in on a Subaru which had an appetite for water pumps every 30-35,000 miles, but other then that ran well.
Current local scooter: '98 corolla...boring as heck but not ONE PROBLEM in over 10 years
Worst: 1989 (maybe '90?) Hundai Sonata. Could have had three cars for what I spent on tires, brakes, and miscellaneous servicing. If someone spit on the road I could have spun out of control. If it got above 92° outside I'd lose half the engine power and the AC didn't work above 70°.
Best: Tie between my 1995 Ford Ranger and my old 1971 Datsun 240z. Hundreds of thousands of miles on both with nothing more than routine maintenance.
Worst: 1989 Ford Tempo GL. Transaxle failed twice, motor mounts broke twice, engine seals leaked oil, a/c failed, overheated in summer, clear coat peeled off after a couple of years. Even when the automatic transaxle was working, it never could figure out which gear it wanted to be in. Passing someone in it was dangerous, it might downshift and it might not.
Best: I've had several good ones, but the 2001 Chevy Silverado was my favorite.
Worst... 1975(?) Chevy Chevette. I remember the commercial saying what good is a small car if you can't get it onto the highway. The car was a dog and I hated it. The gf talked me into getting it because she thought it was cute.
Best... 1988 Cadillac Sedan Deville. I bought it when it was 10 years old and have owned it for another 10. 18 mpg city and 28 hwy.

Why on earth did you spend that much on tires, brakes, etc? Sounds like a operator error if anything. Are you sure you even owned one? Youd figure an ex-owner would know how to spell the make correctly.

Hyundai if it makes you feel better.
