I don't know. I think insurance companies would have a reason to hate this, especially if Ford is going solo in this endeavor. If you're prevented from speeding in a Ford car (even if you can ultimately get out of those restrictions after taking certain action), you're increasing the chance of an accident if you have to quickly get out of the way of a reckless loon whose car is not subject to those same restrictions. Only time would tell whether this limits accidents even with that.
