I know, resurrecting an old thread. But I still miss my 1985 honda prelude si (first prelude with fuel injection). I was the original owner. Had to part with it a few months ago (I live in the condo association from hell).

I didn't know that - thanks for the info! Then again, my '85 si was a bit lighter as it didn't have the rear window break light

I still miss the amazing visibility from that car....

I had an '83 Accord that was 5 speed and really fun to drive. It wasn't as "plastic" as some of the cars today in that price range. Although not fuel -inject. it had the 3 barrel carb. I had a Volvo with very finicky fuel inject before this Honda so I was glad to have something more dependable. With the 5 speed, I could make it get up and go.

GM J-body cars Cavalier, Sunbird, & Skyhawk. I had an 84 Skyhawk with 2.0L OHV & 4 speed manual. Only 86 HP but it weighed only 2300 lbs. 1.8L OHC turbo on the Sunbird GT and Skyhawk T-Type Turbo or the 2.8L V6 on Cavalier Z24. These cars came in 4 body styles; coupe, hatchback, sedan, or station wagon. The hatchback design didn't work for me because it's angle took away from the function of a hatchback. The wagon had a surprising amount of room for hauling stuff and it could be had with the V6. The 2.0L OHC engine was pretty reliable and the whole car was fairly easy to work on. As a teenager it was pretty easy to change the oil, plugs, coolant, and belts.

For those saying the 1980's was a horrible era, It's hard to beat an air-cooled 1980's Porsche 911 turbo! The 1980's predates my own birth, but I'd kill for one of these!!

Correction, the 2.0L OHV engine was the reliable engine.
