That looks nothing like the charger it came with. You probably are looking at a later year one. Mine looks like it came out of the 70's. Much bigger and heavier. Best thing about it was the nice leather case it came in.

It's not the charger, it that the connectors wear out when plugging and unplugging.

I have some collector cars that I rarely drive, and I keep each one of them on a battery tender type trickle charger. They keep just enough current going in to compensate for the drain each battery experiences from sitting. They work great.
