two weeks ago I got it serviced was told everything was fine

saturday I drove it no problems

sunday the car wouldn't start and was making a clicking noise

monday night I jumped it and it worked then I turned it off. Turned it back on it didn't work again. Tried to jump it again and it wouldn't work.

What could it be?

It could be an old battery that isn't necessarily dead, but one that won't really hold a charge anymore and needs to be replaced. If it wasn't that, I'd look at the charging system, i.e. the alternator, but I always prefer to start with simple/easy things and as such I would replace the battery.

Check your battery and check the battery cables. A bad ground could also cause you problems. But I'm betting on the battery needing replacement.

What kind of car is it? Try replacing the battery, If not then it could be the starter or the starter solenoid.

Or it could be the starter. Our Focus did that. Had it replaced and it's good as new. But check your battery first and it's wiring. If you noticed, before your problem, that your lights in the dashboard and/or headlights were getting dimmer and dimmer it could be your alternator.

Good luck.

Don't "Easter Egg". Test. Before replacing the battery, see if the headlights will come on. If not, yeah, the battery is bad, or you have really bad connections to it with the cables.

What kind of service did you get? If you or someone did anything with the car, and then it does not run or does not run right, odds are it is whatever you messed with last.

That said, a 2002 Corolla with the original battery is probably due for a new one.

But, again, don't guess and replace parts, hoping to hit the problem. Its expensive and unprofessional. Make some simple, logical tests, determine which item is at fault, and then repair/replace.

Depending on what the service was, it's possible the battery is not charging for some reason. If the service techs screwed something up, they should fix it for free without quibbling.
