Muffler dragged on pavement for 20 miles... does it have to be checked out?

The exhaust system must be hung properly with a exhaust hanger that usually cost around $7 bucks for a univeral type.Most vehicles use at least 2 of them and they are not hard to install. As far as the exhaust being dragged for 20 miles that could be a problem for you.Even though you may think the exhaust is all-right it may not be. The muffler could have broken or bent baffles inside causing a restricted exhaust flow which can create a performance and later major engine issues. Good Luck !
