I fly R/C Helis - it's all about blade pitch and head-speed. Of course, when the pilot is actually in the heli it's truly amazing.

I'm amazed for several reasons...I surely wouldn't want to be a passenger in that thing going upside down and diving and I wouldn't even want to watch it. Those machines aren't designed for those kinds of aerobics even if they can handle them. But the photography was beautiful and I apprecite very much the skill involved.

Helicopters should be able to do most positive G acrobatics. Doing them is a debatable activity.

Only IF they are rated for such a maneuver !
I can do a barrel roll in a fixed wing (when approved by the POH), but I have never, and will never try do one in a helo !

A rotor wing aircraft with a ridged rotor system can be flown pretty much like a fixed wing aircraft.
