I have been told that I have eaten at the Chinese restaurant in Brewer.

I do not recall the event.

My apology for having posted an untruth.

Found it! We went to the Green Tea across from Toys R Us by the Bangor mall. It was wonderful!

I concur! This is a Japanese restaurant that has a selection of Chinese food as well. I had the Tempura shrimp, and DH had the Soba (Saba?) noodles with chicken. Yummy! With hot green tea, of course.

This isn't as big as Oriental Jade but we find the food to be great and very large portions at very reasonable prices at "China Harbor" right near Paul Bunyon on Maine street in Bangor. There "to go" combos feed 2.

There is a Thai Restaurant right in downtown Bangor where the original Bagle Shop was located for many years. I haven't been but it seems to have a loyal following.

There was a Thai restaurant on 3rd and Union St. in Bangor. I was there a year or two ago and the food was good. It is where there used to be a pharmacy next to the old Doug's Shop N Save.

Found a few places by googling Thai + Bangor! Some have reviews... might have to do a lil research of my own when I'm up next.

Thai Siam in Bangor, Sugar Thai in Bangor, Noodles & Co in Brewer, Royal Thai in Brewer, Thai Orchid in Orono, Seng Thai in Belfast, The Bangkok Restaurant in Ellsworth, Thai Bhurapar in Belfast, Siam Orchid in Bar Harbor.

Vietnamese... mmm... there is a delicious place for pho (noodle soup) nearby. I think you have just inspired me to visit it today!
