Haven't they been selling out for the entire playoffs?

I figure half the fans are from the opponent. This season, they drew 1.8 million fans, finishing 26th of the 30 major league teams. The only teams drawing fewer fans were Oakland, Pittsbugh, Florida and Kansas City.

Of course last year they finished 29th, so I guess being in first place the entire season really excited their fan base (or caused more folks to wander over from Disney World).

Nope. I was lucky enough to go to one of the games vs. the White Sox and it was all Rays, all the way. When the BoSox were just here to start the ALCS it was reported that only 10% of the crowd was for the Sox.

Tonight's a big deal. Andy has been money against the Sox lately. Really trying to stay calm...

Understand, it is difficult to believe how close they are. When your team has a history like the Rays, you always get the feeling they will find a way to screw up.

But Boston overcame their jinx...

Ummm.... 3-0 Rays in the top of the first with one out...

really trying hard not to get excited yet

But this cushion is really going to allow Andy to come out pitching pure nastiness.

Ok, screw it... I am totally excited! And if this post proves to be a jinx, so be it! We have proven to the world that we really are a hard-hitting and smooth-pitching baseball team. We made it this far and that is much, much further than anyone thought we would go.

11-1 in the top of the 6th, game 4 of the ALCS with a 2-1 lead in the series.... what?! Somebody pinch me! I am officially giddy.

GO RAYS!
