if the NBA cares about "all regular season games matter" then Stern needs to either A) shorten the season by 20 ish games or B cut down on the number of playoff spots like only take the top 4 and start with the conference semifinals.

Since neither of this will happen ($$$$$$$$$$$$$), Stern opened up a can of worms. Would Stern have said anything if those Spurs reserves held on and won? No. Is he gonna say anything if the Lakers try this? No. He needs consistancy. He needs to either force the fine at all times and not look away when he's pets do the same thing (heat, lakers, Knicks) and not just punish coaches/owners he's not found of like the Spurs and Mavs.

Spurs 17-4.

Did they REALLY "Need" that game in Miami?

Seems like Pop knows what he's doing after all.

I wouldn't go that far since he is coming off a season where they blew a 2-0 in the WCF

I just read an article, the spurs have the least amount of rest between games of every team in the league this season. That day of rest is going to be very important!

Pop said shove it stern last night! Tony, Tim and Manu are all ok, and Jackson just took a day off last night. spurs with no big 3, and no cpt jack destroyed the bulls! My bet is stern never says a word about it this time.

I kinda back stern on this. I paid $18 for 2 Hawks tickets on stubhub to see the Timber Wolves and if i want 2 tickets for the Heat or Lakers in the same upper deck, im paying $100+. So if i paid a premium to see certain players and when i get there its the 2nd string players playing i would be pissed too. Even if the big 3 started and only played half the game, it would have given the fans there moneys worth.

maybe you should stop getting scalped on stub hub and go to directly to the source. hawks are not selling out even the best teams games, you can go right to the hawks (or their venue) and buy tickets and get a better deal every time. stub hub is ONLY any good if the event is sold out, other wise NEVER buy there, bunch of scalpers!

Tickets for tonight's Pacers-Bobcats game are selling for as low as 75 cents. Tickets in the FedEx Fan Zone are going for as low as $11. But; going right to the Pacers to buy those same tickets for $15 and $60 a piece respectively makes total sense.
