I would have to agree with Math Guy that the NBA product has become better. I stopped following as much a few years ago, but I've been enjoying it since I picked it up again.
BTW, how do you feel this compares to Stephon Marbury's work and donations?
NBA's a better product. I like the fact that the league is cleaner. Less focus on thuggery and more on the game. Other leagues could take some pointers from the NBA.
Bunch of tattoed primadonna thug cry babies with corn rows that can't play defense and can't shoot! I haven't watched an NBA game in 15 years, I'm a huge NFL fan!

Dunno, I've heard he's done a lot but don't know specifics. Why don't you post it up so we can give him some props too.

Stern cracked down on:
-Dress code
-He cracked down on whining to refs
-He's cracking down on flopping
-guys acting like d-bags which have been suspended and fined heavily for bad actions.
Basically, Stern has done one heckuva job cleaning up the league after it sagged there in the late 90's and early 00's.
They also put in some of the age caps to keep out highschoolers and the rookie salary schedule too.
NBA is heading in the right direction with some great young ambassadors like Durant.

Ah yeah, it was years ago, though and some people tend to be openly critical of the ways in which people donate. Stephon drew a little bit of criticism for his press conference for, I believe, Hurricane Katrina, where he cried during the press conference. If nobody here really remembers it, it is rather an irrelevant discussion. Anyway, for the sake of knowledge, here is a little list below from Wikipedia of what probably isn't his entire body of Philanthropy.
In 2001, Stephon donated $250,000 of the money derived from Pepsi sponsorships to help victims of September 11.[27]
In 2005, Marbury donated between $500,000 and $1,000,000 to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.[28]
In 2007, Stephon donated $4,000,000 to New York City, $1,000,000 each to the NYPD, FDNY, EMT, and New York City Teacher's Fund.[29]
