Let him go to the bobcats for 4 years. That'll teach him to go 1 and done. Could've spent those years in college party & b.s.
Though I'm being a hypocrit since my current fav D rose was 1 and done
If a kid can get out early, that's probably better than staying in college: If he can get a fat contract early vs breaking his leg in college and blowing his pro career.
I'd suspect a lot of the buzz and talk of him being #1 in the NBA draft before playing a game in highschool is driven by him having possibly played against college and pro players at some time or another?
That's when Lebrons reputation really exploded.
There are all kinds of gyms etc. where a guy like him can rub elbows with better competition during summer months.
I don't know, I don't recall Lebron's pre-NBA hype being generated due to playing against college/pro guys.

I'm just going off memory or some articles I'd read in the suntimes about him maybe playing in the summer against some pros over at hoops gym on the west side.
However, I can't back that up and it's probably all moot anyway.
After watching him on TV a few times he's definitely one of the most athletic players Ive ever seen at the high school level. Lebron was probably stronger at the time but this kid has all the physical tools to be the one of the top players in the league. I don't think he's as good as Lebron was coming out of high school but I'd say he's probably the second best of the last 15 years (probably slightly ahead of Kevin Durant, Greg Oden and Derrick Rose).
I have heard that he seems to get lazy at times and coast. In one of the games I watched it almost seemed like at times he wasn't trying but then again he was so much better then all of the other kids it may have just looked like that.
His father Mitchell Wiggins used to be a lockdown defender for the Rockets in the 80s(Finals team in 86', but loved to snort coke more along with Lewis Lloyd...both players suspended from NBA).....Andrew is a very talented player for sure...a lock for #1 pick.
Barkely was shorter but much more powerfully built.
It's really amazing how few good post players are in the league.
Paul Pierce is 6'7. LBJ is 6'8. Kawhi Leonard is 6'7. Luol Deng is 6'9. All of which make great swingmen moving into the low-post. Hopefully Parker gets some good experience playing SG/SF in Duke to really compliment his versatility.
