Catching all this on the tube, so I'm probably behind on hearing info, but the tube reports that a T cop was shot and seriously wounded during the pursuit from Cambridge to W'town. You never know whether they have it right with everything happening so quickly, but they also said the MIT cop may have been off duty and just happened to be near the convenience store, spotted these guys, and recognized them from the FBI pictures.

They really are kicking ass. The Feds have been lame, and I figure they'd just get in the way anyways. I think their facial recognition sw flopped. I think they tried for 3 days and after they wasted 3 days fooling around, they finally had to give in to public demand to release the photos. Then we did the rest. In 5 hours.

What? Those idiots thought they would get away with this? The collective mind of the people of Boston is a formidable force.

Maybe but I was gathering the MBTA cop saw them first. They shot the MBTA cop, and the reported shooting was responded to be the MIT cop. I'm guessing the MBTA cop was shot at Kendall station. That parts fuzzy though. Click on the BPD scanner link in the OP OG. Quite fascinating.

TV is saying anyone in that Watertown area should shelter in place. Not open doors for anyone except groups of police. If you see anything unusual, call 911 and drivers--do not pick anyone up. East Watertown, remain in homes and do not come out.

Wouldn't be surprised. We've seen plenty of times how the news people get it wrong with their immediate info right when things are happening quickly. And we've certainly seen that in this case.
