To be honest, many areas are going to have a similar outcome from this virus. So, this is going to be a common theme for areas impacted by this.

It may hit different parts of the country in the near future, as hot spots change.

It is all a big unknown at this point. When the economy begins to recover, hopefully WNY will too. Unfortunately a lot of companies will use this as an excuse to get rid of excess employees, without having to go through the traditional methods. Many companies that were in trouble before this may not survive. This is by no means a WNY problem, it will happen in varying degrees throughout the country.

You are correct on all points.

I don't know if others have noticed, a lot of empty shelves are not caused by hoarding, but because the company shut down. Car dealers inventory is clearing out. We really need to start up some businesses, safely. Those that are vulnerable, continue to stay at home. The key is personal responsibility, which hasn't been that prevalent in recent years.

I further believe, that unfortunately some businesses won't open. That will be opportunity for someone else to set up a new business after purchasing the equipment at auction

Just like last time.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

The corporations, lawyers, and insurance companies run this country, now. This current "crisis" is a perfect, and terribly authoritarian, example of it.

Some workforce retraining might be helpful, especially in the healthcare disciplines.
