225k is high unless it is a 75k truck!

$1700 a week net isn't that great if you have to account for a 200k loan payment!

Store managers and grocery personnel in chains can be a problem as well as the back room personnel that check you in as a vendor in.They are always looking for free merchandise and an Xmas gift if you don't suck up to them you don't get extra display space when you have items on special,I had a snack route and had to buy my own racks, and floor stands they get dirty and have to be replaced at your expense, on week ends I did my own maintenance on my truck and rent one when it broke down,I had to buy my own sales pads, insurance is good to have if some one trips over your boxes in the stores. The store help would break open my product to snack on and I would have to replace this damage at my own expense and it goes on and on.Its not the easiest way to make a living especially with today's fuel cost.Stay away from any union you might have to join.

Now is the above worth it to buy or not?

I think he made a mistake saying 85 down, it should say 90k down.

My feeling is why does someone sell a profitable route. Returning to food sales your not going make much more if your even lucky to make more. Yes you would have benefits now but working in corporate america you deal with allot of bs...your not the boss any longer.

My big fear is that these distributors/manufacturers can hurt the independent contractor bread guy that they use by doing such things as bringing in a new bread product and having new routes to distribute the new bread product and as a result more competition to deal with and less customers buy your bread brand. These distributors/manufacturers are looking out for themselves and the bottom line.

Muffins are okay as I at times will buy a NAME brand at the .99 cent store. Code date is current and eatable.

Could be surplus stock or just trying for NEW customers....Sara Lee was one of them...good product.

There is the spoilege or outdated possibility being a perishable product.

Having a truck and maybe a unavailable product down the line a person would be SOL.....like TWINKEES.
