Maxine Waters of LA vs. Eddie Bernice Johnson of Dallas. You make the call.

I don't recognize that spot but it looks like what would be found on the Colorado river between Needles south to Havasu City. Maybe the area around Topock.

MOD CUT If "California is going broke" but Texas isn't then please tell me why both have almost the exact same size deficit. Bare in mind that California's economy is much, much larger then Texas's economy so the deficit as a percentage of GDP is much lower in California then in Texas. Please explain that to me, smart guy.

The problem is half of our country friends from Texas don't even seem to know about this fact even while they post nonsense like what I quoted above. You're living in a glass house, my friend, so maybe you ought to worry about it rather then the financial position of another state which has a much smaller deficit as a percentage of GDP?

I lived in California for 17 years; loved it, miss it. Been stuck in South Texas for several years and it SUCKS. It's dirty, ugly, has backward/uneducated people, bad doctors/dentist still performing 1970 technology, fanatical Christians, bugs, mosquitos, snakes and hell hot 9 month summers and 6 months of hurricane fear. Only an idiot would live in Texas. So why am I here. Got stuck due to health issues and economy. Hope to "escape" next year. It is a sickening state and no place for humans.

Good luck with the fanatical dentists in South Texas. I hope you escape.

Right!

However, if a state has a deficit, it is not broke. It just has a spending problem.

Me: I make $50,000 a year.
You: But you are in debt $10,000.
Me: Be that as it may, I still make $50,000 a year.

Yes, that person should run as far away from those backwards Texan dentists as possible! Texas dentists have sharp things they poke your teeth with, and they also have long arms (in more ways than one... folks have been found with fillings and bridges done in their mouths, up to 100 miles away from Texas if they didn't 'co-operate' ) , and drills and those shiny things they use... evil, I say, evil.

You can drive through a lot of TX and get that impression. But then, what exactly is your impression when driving through CA on I-5? A few pretty spots and hours upon hours of flat, dry, and ugly...
