He ain't bow hunting Griz;

The family I was born into would make you look like Christian Conservative.

Had my Kodiak bow experience in 1988. Never got close enough to draw. Couldn't afford to go back. After taking a few blacks in Kalifornia with bows in the 90's I hung up my FB recurve.

course a true sportsman would use a good yew long bow, not one of those plastic compounds. Killing a black bear is about as thrilling as killing a pig, a black bear is just a woolly pig.

Interesting to speculate about this situation should it arise. If, in 2014 and 2015, we start seeing a few very large coyotes, 35 or 40 pounders instead of the usual 25-30, with strange features in Northern California, then we might surmise that OR-7 had a pretty good time here. Seriously, something like this could get quite political, California being what it is. In a practical sense, it would be extremely difficult for a hunter to tell a hybrid from a purebred coyote from a distance of several hundred yards.

BS. A true sportsman uses what will produce a quick kill and minimize animal suffering. Shot placement and practice are the weapons of choice for this sportsman.

So hunting is supposed to be only about the thrill? You sound like a blood thirsty christian redneck conservative.

hybrids would be a problem, in many ways other than the political issues... It would be very bad for the wolf too.

I enjoy the traditional way stuff, may hunt that way some time in the future again... I will frequently just use a compound bow... Whatever gets the job done and gets meat on the table... I am not a sportsman in any way... It is all about meat... If you eat meat, I feel you should harvest it and process it yourself... Whether you raise a steer or shoot a deer.. I feel strongly that everyone who eats meat, should have had blood on their hands at least once..

Don't hunt bear because I do not eat bear. I do not eat mammalian omnivores. To close to cannibalism for me.. (Don't eat pig either, unless it is cured like ham or bacon.)
