Wondering why California failed to legalize gay marriage perminantly after Prop 8. How long will it take next time?

Just curious.

A Town Where it's Hard to Say "Gay"

There's quite a lot of opposition to the idea of same-sex "marriage" in California's interior.

A lesson that no matter how much you want something you cannot force it upon the masses. You can't "force" someone to like you or your life style regardless of a law.

Oh, here we go again ... the C D forum anti-gay crusader has saddled up to sound the alarm ...
Back up your statement with actual data, statistics ... not just your survey of your own local parish anti-gay supporters. I would be curious to review ... and I don't even contend what you say ... it may or may not be so. What I do note is that you have a history here of trying to speak for others without being appointed spokesman. So if the interior is anti-gay -- show us how you know such to be true.

Something to remember when we think about discrimination based on race and religion or ethnic background as well. Darn, those pesky laws that force me to respect the rights of those I don't like.

People have limited ideas about California. Change is almost always met with opposition, even if people aren't sure what they are opposing.

Like interracial marriage? Which 70% of people thought should be illegal in 1967?

It wasn't until the mid 1990's that more than 50% of people in the US approved of interracial marriage. Would you have waited 30 years?
