Okay how about this:
Former Microsoft manager announces plans for 'big marijuana' - Local - MyNorthwest.com
Former Microsoft executive has bought up distribution and production facilities in three states, including California, Washington, and Colorado. He plans to create "Big Marijuana" production and sales as it becomes legal in more and more places.

So, maybe we can add a Marijuana Trail to California's Wine Trails and Cheese Trail?

That would be interesting.
LoL...can see it now, just like an open studio tour of local artists. One can go from garden to garden and see and maybe taste what everyone is doing.

I don't like this. It's similar to pharmaceutical company commercial and corporate farming. This type of "big marijuana production" will eliminate small businesses, which is really what keeps the economy going. The former Microsoft manager could have the ability to change legislation to his advantage to eliminate competition (like Microsoft has). I see it going nowhere good in sooooooo many ways.

So a trail for a substance that is still illegal under federal law?

I thought marijuana was for "medical purposes." And all the people who voted for it and were for it, said no one would make a profit off of the "sick and dying."

What a load of crock. Anyone who supports this scam should be ashamed of themselves and should just come out and admit they want to smoke dope and suffer no legal repercussions. None of you actually care someone is sick and needs their "medicine." IF that was you were after, you would NOT like this idea. This guy is going to try and make as much money as he can and could care less about anyone, for any reason.

But, this is The People's Republik of Kalifornia. Power to the people. We care about people here. More typical left wing BS. Lets lie, cheat, steal and do whatever to get it passed, so I can get stoned legally.

Tongue-in-cheek humor not your thing obviously.

No point in reading the article either I guess. The guy is setting up in anticipation of full legality unfolding.

Many people totally oppose growing MJ for toking but one of he unintended consequences of outlawing weed is that it has also made growing HEMP for fiber and other uses illegal. Cotton was King in the South 150 years ago. HEMP could be the new KING in states where it is allowed.

A few years back one of the Big 12 Universities (Texas A&M?) was doing research on marijuana for various uses. One of the uses studied was genetic manipulation to create vaccines. Several chemicals and catalysts that are very expensive to produce were discovered in MJ in quantities that would drastically reduce the cost of those products.

Adding another crop to the list of commodities farmers in Colorado can raise would be a huge boost for rural areas. HEMP production may result in the elimination of using underground water to irrigate low value crops like CORN. The whole country would benefit from that.

Yeah, one must ask oneself before undertaking any venture to profit from others' ills:
what would Big Pharma do?
Sobering, humbling thought ... no?
