This is a hilarious portrayal of stereotypical people from California

What gets me is that even though SNL absolutely REEKS of NYC, the people in the audience are chuckling when the characters talk about skipping Wilshire and taking Beverly...lol WTF?

Watch LA Story. Well done picture of the SoCal stereotype.

I like how they said the 2 and the 405.

Because even if you're not from there if you know two people from LA and they get together they'll start doing this.

Bopper lives only about 30 miles from me. Just take the 1 to the 66.....

Our area is loaded with former Californians. My neighbor down the hill went to Fontucky's horrific HS and the ones across the street grew up in Oceanside. We've almost completely eradicated Southern culture and accents from this part of the Commonwealth.

The same way the rest of the USA just dies laughing at shows/movies/plays about NYC despite having never been there and clearly having no idea what the references are about.

When we lived in Manhattan, we couldn't believe how much of American television and movie culture is in-jokes by New Yorkers for New Yorkers and we wondered why the other 310 million Americans would possibly find any of this funny (Seinfeld for example). But, for whatever reason, they do. Same thing.
