Trying to help disadvantaged groups is the worst form of discrimination?

Hope this affirmative action will protect the latest identified group being discriminated against; i.e., CONSERVATIVES!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/08/science/08tier.html

" Some of the world’s pre-eminent experts on bias discovered an unexpected form of it at their annual meeting."
"Discrimination is always high on the agenda at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s conference, where psychologists discuss their research on racial prejudice, homophobia, sexism, stereotype threat and unconscious bias against minorities. But the most talked-about speech at this year’s meeting, which ended Jan. 30, involved a new “outgroup.”

Funny how the only "disadvantaged groups" who don't qualify for college admission on their own merit are those who graduate high school with a 4th grade education.

Sorry, I don't follow. You can't graduate high school in California with a 4th grade education, nor could you even begin to get into college unless you had reasonable scores and grades.

Disadvantaged groups start the race beyond the starting line, the point of affirmative action and similar policies is to put them on the starting line.

HHMMMM lets see. Disadvantaged how?

Free education
Free medical care
Free to break our laws
Free Food
Free money
Free clothes

The only thing that isn't free is their stupid assed choices. Being from a minority group whose forefathers worked their asses off, took advantage of the free education to better themselves and their families lot in this country, provided and took care of their families so their children could stand on their shoulders, these so called disadvantaged minorities can **** off. Let them work their asses off for a generation or two, quit ****ing like rabbits out of wedlock, having abortions and actually think about how the choices they make affect themselves and future generations. Until they do that they can all go take a flying ****ing leap out the nearest window.

Yes, if it is based upon the premise that they're incapable of pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps because they lack the native intelligence and desire to better their own lots in life. Yes again if it makes them entitlement conscious and demanding. Yes one more time if it robs them of the desire and drive to make it on their own by enabling them to be "inferior."

Having said that, don't bother going off on one of your argumentative diatribes unless you are absolutely compelled to do so and can't help yourself. It won't be read.

The disadvantaged groups are those that are from poor communities and as a result poor school districts, typically they have parents who are very poorly educated as well. Educationally these kids weren't given the same opportunities as others...

Few people "pull themselves up by their own bootstraps", a kids socioeconomic status is highly correlated to their parents socioeconomic status. Affirmation action policies are simply recognizing that the playing field is not equal, these kids are starting live with significant disadvantages.

And...stop acting like a child. If you don't want to engage in a conservation ignore and/or don't respond to me.
