Can anyone live in San Ramon tell me how long it actually will take to communte from San Ramon to Freemont? We are thinking about moving to San Ramon. The only thing stop us is the commute. My husband's work is at Newwark very close to Freemont. I heard a lot of people said the commute from San Ramon to Freemont is terrible. Is it true? How terrible can it be? How long does it actually take on a normal week day? I appreciate anyone who has the experience of commuting between these two places can give me an answer.

Default san ramon to fremont

Hello,
It should only take 30 minutes at the most. It's a easy drive. We have family in fremont and looking to move to San ramon ourselves from concord which takes 50 minutes

Hey, this is what I do. Go on Mapquest.com and put in each city .... just forget about the address and zipcodes, just type in the city names for starting destination and then arrival points. It will give you an accurate time for the driving.

Be careful with that Mapquest stuff...it doesn't account for traffic! The traffic during commute hours can be a bear. Since you live in the area already, my suggestion would be to come stay a night in San Ramon on a weeknight (maybe Thurs) and do the commute on Friday am and Friday pm. That will give you a realistic look at it. The distance isn't that bad, (although Newark will be a bit trickier), but the traffic can be a bear! Try it out first and see if you think it's worth the move!
