It is a discussion forum. But repeatedly saying it’s harder to buy a house now than when you first bought your home decades ago is false. Even my 23 year old can buy a home in the Bay Area, it’s May not be the home she desires, but nonetheless it’s a home.

No, it's not.

Housing, at it's core, is just shelter. Which man has had to find and provide for himself since he could walk upright.

It's no else's job or responsibility, and certainly not the govt's, to provide you with housing. It's yours, and yours alone. You are not entitled to it. It's not a basic human right. Basic need, yes. But not a right.

Stop whining. Work hard, and go after it.

It doesn't look like too many "nonsensical ramblings" here:

Wanna buy a house? You need to earn $120,000 in L.A., $159,000 in Orange County and nearly $70,000 in the Inland Empire:

Generally, it's not easier here than it was 30-40 years ago; otherwise, first time home ownership among younger people in California would be much higher now, despite your anecdotal evidence. But how nice for your 23-year-old.

The California Dream is tough to afford if you’re under 40
California’s housing crisis is hitting younger people the hardest, a survey finds:

Ahh yes, back to the links, lol.

Math please.

And when you can disprove the previous posts, you might be on to something. I won't hold my breath.

What a ridiculous expectation to put on people. It is a human right to do none of these things.

And so is being a victim in every facet of your life. Didn't you know, someone else is always to blame? And you deserve a bit of that pie simply because you exist.

Truly sad that people think like this nowadays.

I hope you stop quoting, I didn’t have to read ***** stuff on the internet. Housing is a right is the same as having a toilet on your head as a right. Everything is a right to these kinds of people. So is their right to move to Venezuela.

Historically there’s only 60% of homeownership among the population, this is what I read, either Bush or Clinton tried to raise it to 65% and that’s why we had a housing burst.

Did the Great Recession has something to do with it. Some of the millennials finally just moved out of their parents basement.
