Yes, they do. They also realize the extraordinary dangers inherent in nuclear power generation … and, perhaps even more significant, that there is no solution to nuclear waste besides endlessly storing it (which has proven flawed more than once) in increasing amounts.

When has it proven flawed?

Summary
There are 61 nuclear power plant sites in the United States that are currently operating. Records indicate 43 of these sites at one time or another have had leaks or spills that involved tritium concentrations greater than or equal to 20,000 pCi/L.

Some specific examples beyond list:

Shall we talk about Chernobyl?
How about Three Mile Island (Pennsylvania)

It's a complaint filed by a bunch of hippies. Big deal. CA needs every bit of electricity it can produce.

Wouldn't be surprised if the lawsuit works though. Not that I agree, but I thought it weird that the governor could just write on a piece of paper to overturn a settlement with multiple parties

But if it retires it will be a disaster

Lolololol?
Actually, some of those ARE about storage. Guess you didn’t want to read through a bunch of links.

Regardless of which are storage and which are operational leaks - they are ALL RADIOACTIVE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT FAILURES … which was the point.
