Do you like the coast or the Mtns?

Some young ppl would give their right arm to land a decent job in Mammoth Lakes. But those same young ppl are avid outdoor lovers - skiers, snowboarders, hikers, mtn climbers, etc...

Since you didn't emphasize this it might not be as important to you. Hence I would agree with the others regarding San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande as the better options. You will have more ppl, shopping, etc... And you will be closer to LA.

Either way a visit to your shortened list should be a requirement before making your final decision.

Derek

I would say that Visaila may be your best choice because they have a nice close feeling downtown atmosphere and they have a lot parks for kids, entertainment for the family and nightclubs such as Crawdaddys, El Presidente, etc.

The OP has long ago made her move, and was last seen wandering aimlessly through the pharmacies in the wilds of Fallwood, some 2 years ago. Alas.

Of the places you listed, I would pick SLO or Arroyo Grande with SLO being a first choice for someone your age. Don't even consider Greenfield or King City; they are both awful places to be for sure.

I would say Visalia and Brawley are your best bet. But then you have to deal with heat.

I think Visalia is two hours of LA. You better go with Visalia over Brawley.

This thread is old but I have to say Visalia is not two hours away from L.A. (Ha!), it's more a little over 3hrs away without traffic and expect to hit traffic once you arrive in the boundaries of L.A. county.

Personally I would avoid the Central Valley.
