My X was dropped once , but the leather case was able to save it. Wasn't a bad drop. It was the time that I took it out with a bit of trepidation and it nearly was thrown off. I store my iPhone in its leather cases and often I take it out naked. I've lost all my older iPhones, however. Between 4 to seven. My first concrete drop scared the daylights out of me.
