And what happened? For me at least a dozen times. BLU phone. The first time I dropped it I thought it was dead. Nothing on the screen. Took it to repair shop. I didn't know if you hold the power button it will power on. It did.
Other times it's fallen off my bike on to the street. Or from my hand to floor. I held the power button. Nothing. Held it longer. Nothing. Then tried again- came on! My last drop a few weeks ago and the power and volume buttons came out. I found them on the floor after 5 minutes and put them back in. The little flap that acts like a spring for the power button is now broken. It's suppose to push the button out, so you can push it in. Even though that spring is broken I can still power off/on!

I have had a cell phone of one kind or another since the first brick about 1990, and only remember dropping one 2-3 times, all various versions of the iPhone. None was ever damaged, but I always keep a case on them, currently a Rugger Shield.
How many times have you dropped your phone? And what happened?
Probably once a month. Usually nothing. Sometimes the tempered glass screen protector will crack, which is probably what it's designed to do (absorb impact). So I'll replace it myself for $3.
I drop mine (or it falls out of my pocket) fairly frequently so it has a pretty robust case and screen protector on it. Its screen is cracked in 2 places.
Lately I've dropped it several times. Sometimes it just turns off, other times I've popped the back off and once the battery fell out. I don't have it in a case or any other kind of protector either. Never had any screen damage though, knock on wood.
