I can answer for Brickyard. They do not allow any above ground pools. If you want an inground pool, it must be approved by the ARB (Architectural Review Board) - a challenge in and of itself.
Are you saying they have approved some even if a difficult process?
An in ground pool is in someone's back yard and it's in the ground, not like it'll stick up over a fence. I have no clue why they should care?
FWIW a friend who used to live in Snee Farm had a huge pool, with a pool house and all kinds of great stuff.
In our neighborhood, every single thing must be approved. This include playsets and additional landscaping. The rules used to state if it was in the backyard, it was not in the ARB's domain. However, they changed the rules and made the entire yard, backyard included, to under the domain of the ARB.
Thanks for the answers regarding pools, I will definitely use google map to research and also look up the regs for each HOA!
