On my way to my dentist in Cornelius about every third car I pass today in Lincoln & Mecklenburg County did not have their head lights on during today's rain.

It is NC law that when windshield wipers are in use, the headlights must be on. http://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislat.../gs_20-129.pdf

It is for your safety & others driving & pedestrians trying to cross the road to see you coming ahead of you or behind you.

Thanks for the reminder Sunny - I am always surprised at the people that don't seem to know this!

I always flash my lights at every single person who does not have their lights on in the rain.

I read in the drivers handbook that you're supposed to blow the horn when passing someone. But after my first trip from Charlotte to Mooresville up I77, I'd been flipped off so many times I'd begun to think it was a new greeting I wasn't aware of.

Ha! Many people are such idiots that they don't turn their lights on at night much less when it is raining.

This, and people racing through school zones while the lights are flashing are my two biggest driving pet peeves here.
