They estimate the money from truckers, beach-bound drivers and everyone else would pay about two-thirds of the cost of building and operating the Charlotte area's first toll road,and guess who covers the last 1/3 - Taxpayers but state has already set aside almost enough money to bridge the estimated gap.
I would pay that...I have had too many nightmarish long trips on that section of 74 on my way to Wilmington from Asheville. Stoplight after stoplight. Easily worth the money.
